Some of you will probably already have spotted that I’ve added a Picture Gallery to my site. I’ve been promising it for a while, and now it’s actually up and running. Well, almost running. It’ll be running properly once I find out how to download more pictures and organise them and geeky stuff like that.
First of all, I’d like to thank my friend Jules for setting all this up for me, I couldn’t have done it on my own. thanks, Jules!
For the moment there’s only one page in the Gallery - a set of sketches I did of Tania’s sisters. Now, one of the really great things about books, is that they allow every reader to have in their mind the image of what everything and everyone actually looks like. So, if you have a different image in your head of how the Princesses look, that’s absolutely fine. Your ideas are as valid as mine.
I’m planning on posting some more pictures soon, so you might like to keep an eye out for that.
Meanwhile, I’ve been asked to take part in an online live chat about writing Fantasy. It’s late in October, and I’ll let you have more info about it as soon as I get it.
The sneak-peeks for The Emerald Flame should be up in the next few days, so Warrior Princess fans should watch out for them.
Sneak-peaks can’t wait!
I like the pictures.
OMG I love the Rathina and Sancha sketches! Those were the hardest people to imagine in my opinion-trying to see the beauty and wisdom in someone in your head can be hard sometimes! I also think Eden is very, very good too.
P.S. You are a very good drawer, Mr. Jones! You can see the childness/energy in Zara and the wisdom of books and Mystic Arts in Sancha and Eden, Hopies love for herbs in her sketch. I wish I could draw like that!
is the live thing you were talking about the same one you mentioned earlyer in the blog?
AFJ. ILiz - no, this is another one! I’ve asked for more details and I’ll post them here as soon as I have them - the live chat is apparently due to take place for an hour on October 27th at 4pm EST - which is eleven o’clock at night here in England. More info soon.
Wow love the pics and cant wait for the sneak peaks!!!
That’s almost exactly how I pictured Rathina and Eden, but the others.. not so much.
I would like to see a sketch of Tania.
AFJ. Sarah - I didn’t sketch Tania because I thought most people would already have her in their heads looking like the girl on the covers.
When is the Charmed Return coming out?? I can’t wait to read–I’ve been waiting for a year!
AFJ. Maggie - The Charmed Return is coming out on the 25th January 2011. Sorry about the long wait, but the publishers think that one Faerie Path book a year is enough!
i think there should be one a month! but that would be alot of work for you
I drew a picture of what I imagined Cordilia would look like, I don’t know how else to show you. so here is link to my page, http://theluckypearl.blogspot.com all that is on it is the picture. tell me what you think. I couldn’t remember what color eyes Cordilia had, I thought emerald green fit her personality. I really hope she doesn’t die. also… Who is the dreamweaver. I have guessed; Titania b/c she uses water as part of her power, or Zara b/c of her musical ability, but I don’t see how she could be the dreamweaver from her place in Avalon. I can’t wait to find out.
AFJ. Melissa - I just checked my notes and I have Cordelia with blue eyes - but I think the green eyes look really cool in your picture, so you should keep them that way.
As for the identity of the Dream Weaver - well, there are only three months now and you will be able to find it all out!
Hello, again(: The pics of Eden and Rathina are my favorites because they are how I imagined them…but the rest are very different from how I imagined them…
AFJ. Amy - I think I mentioned it before, but I’ll say it again - whatever images you all have in your heads of how the princesses should look are fine with me - one of the great things with books is that you can imagine everything for yourself.
I love you pictures!!! You are a really good drawer.
I love the pictures. I could never draw like you. Will there be a drawing for Tania?
AFJ. T.K.B. - thanks! I haven’t drawn Tania because she’s already on the covers - but I might do a sketch of exactly how I see her. keep your eyes out on the gallery.
