Last Saturday evening Claudia and I celebrated Valentine’s Eve by going to see VAREKAI by the Cirque du Soliel.
If you have never heard of the Cirque du Soliel, let me tell you it is totally amazing and well worth checking out if they come to a town or city near you!
It’s a two hour show, full of tumblers and acrobats and high-wire acts and jugglers and all that kind of thing - and the costumes are so colourful the world outside looks like it’s in black and white for a while after you leave. The music is also wonderful and the performance is stunningly good.
I was watching it and thinking - this is EXACTLY the kind of entertainment I’d have at a Royal Wedding in Faerie! If ever a movie were made of the Faerie Path series, I’d want the Cirque du Soliel to perform in the Great Hall in the Royal Palace. If you’d like to get an idea of what they’re like, google Varekai Cirque du Soliel -and you’ll find some websites to look at.
Totally brilliant!
Oh, and for Valentine’s Day itself, we had champagne and red roses delivered! Romantic, or what?

okay. wait it sounds familiar…… no nvm. sorry. =(
addie- i searched that title on my e readers online book store and it came up with nothing so if it was published it prob has not been relised or is very new….
Well I just finished The Enchanted Quest.yay!
Mr.Jones you’ll be happy to know it was sold out everywhere I looked, so I had to order it online and it just got here.
I sat for 4 and a half hours straight with that one:)
like all the others its great!
AFJ. Just out of interest, guys - how many of you are buying my books in stores, and how many are ordering them online?
I am not aloud to order anything online and I went to the store online it said it was in, but it wasn’t.
i ordered mine online but normaly i like to go to book stores, there is just something about the fact that im surrounded by books that makes me feel wonderful
Ive only had to order The Enchanted Quest. other then that every other book came from the store, usually they have them right at the front with all the other new books.
i only ordered the sorcerer king online because it was sold out at book stores. other than that i love going to book stores b cuz u never no what u might find
EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted to say I love the fairy path series. i just finished reading the immortal realm and i cant want to start reading the enchanted quest. I unfortunely cannot afford anything so i’m always waiting until they are available at the library (which seems like it takes forever because there are so many people wanting it and the library only orders a few books.) but i do have to say that when i can afford anything i will be buying the series for my daughter to read and so i can re-read them. thanks AFJ for the great books and i totally agree Cirque du Soliel should perform in the Great Hall in the Royal Palace when this becomes a movie!
Mister Jones i love you books and i hope you write more then only 6 books from the fearie path
and also hope that the fearie path will come on the cinemas
aww i have found a fan trailer its so great

Luisa
THAT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE CHARACTERS!!!!! EDRIC DOEST LOOK LIKE THAT! oh and welcome luisa
AFJ. Hello there Luisa - thanks for getting in touch.
Daniele - True, they don’t look quite as I imagined them, but kudos on the effort, surely? And it led me to looking at another YouTube vid showing which actors might play what roles in a movie, which was fun - although no Titania! For me, it’s just great to think that fans of the books are doing stuff like this.
allan-daniela not daniele, and kudos indeed. if there was a movie what character role would u wanna play allan???? or would u rather direct it?
AFJ. OOp! Sorry, Daniela, for the typo. I get called Alan, Alen, Allen - I even got my name spelled wrong on one of my book covers a few years back! I don’t think I’d make a very good director - you have to be able to multi-task like crazy - and I’m only really good at doing one thing at a time. I think I’ve metnioned it before somewhere, but I’d rather like to be Brython, he’s a minor charactrer, I know - but he’s married to Hopie, and Hopie always reminds me of my wife Claudia.
allan-oh ya u told me u wanted to be him. im a really good multi tasker…. (when i dont make mistakes!) so claudia is a doctor?
AFJ. Daniela - no, Claudia isn’t a doctor, it’s more to do with Hopie’s personality really - the way she takes control and is really strong and determined. That’s what reminds me of Claudia - Claudia actually told me that she’d like to be Eden - because she’s all pwerful and mysterious and brooding…eek! I’m worried that one day I’ll wake up to find her hair has gone white…
allan- hahahahaha im more of a hopie. my mom things so too because once i start something i HATE it when i dont finish so im always determined to finish it =D eden looks so powerful, just by looking at her you’ll know she has power and wisdom =D
